Edge devices allow any data functions (e.g., collecting, sorting, filtering, aggregating, integrating, etc.) to be easily programmed and installed or exchanged at runtime. In particular, by providing the appropriate basic functionalities for many sensor types and protocols, dmc-ssi is ideally suited for integrating any sensor technology easily and without complications.

Our framework includes a cache mechanism and automatic forwarding of sensor data to a dmc-ssi Remote Manager. In the event of a connection interruption, this functionality protects against data loss.

Secure Remotemanagement

dmc-ssi, based in part on macchina.io REMOTE, offers secure remote maintenance and remote access via web, SSH, and VNC. The WebTunnel agent connects edge devices to a reflector server via the WebTunnel protocol, which is based on a WebSocket specification. The WebTunnel agent usually runs on the edge device, but can also be deployed separately on a router, gateway, or industrial PC.

This currently includes the following protocols, among others:

The professional time study recording device

We developed the ORTIM a5 specifically for use as a time study device and for recording multi-moment snapshots – in simple terms, it is a large stopwatch.
