dmc-ssi is a framework for the standardized, scalable, and flexible integration of sensors into cyber-physical systems and industrial applications.

In modern production and automation environments, the number and variety of embedded sensors is constantly increasing. dmc-ssi was developed to efficiently integrate these heterogeneous sensor landscapes, regardless of manufacturer, communication protocol, or sensor type. It not only enables the structured collection and processing of sensor data, but also its intelligent use—for example, for condition monitoring, process optimization, or predictive maintenance.

The framework provides uniform interfaces and tools that make it easy to connect and configure sensors and integrate them into existing infrastructures. dmc-ssi can be used flexibly in a wide variety of application scenarios, from edge to cloud integration.

Secure remote management
By employing a variety of security mechanisms, we can assure you that your data is protected from all sides. Since your devices are never directly exposed to the internet, they can remain safely behind a firewall or router, which provides no opportunity for direct attacks.
Flexible configuration
dmc-ssi is far from being a rigid framework and can be freely adapted to specific customer requirements – from design to the integration of specific applications. It is available on multiple operating systems and features well-structured rights and role management.
Scalable & cloud enabled
The remote server usually runs on a virtual Linux server or in a container. It can be deployed in any cloud service such as Azure and AWS, or on-premises. Depending on the size of your operation, multiple instances may be required. In these cases, a load balancing setup will help you process the large amount of information.
Plug & Play
The Smart Sensor Integration Framework dmc-ssi is capable of supporting a wide range of old and new communication protocols. The provision of pre-configured Docker software bundles increases the speed of implementation of our solution and thus reduces your downtime.

The professional time study recording device

We developed the ORTIM a5 specifically for use as a time study device and for recording multi-moment snapshots – in simple terms, it is a large stopwatch.
