Das Tablet als Zeitstudienhardware

ORTIM a6 für Windows® wurde speziell für den Einsatz als Zeitstudiensoftware auf Ihrem Windows® Tablet entwickelt. Die Applikation ist intuitiv bedienbar, die Anordnung der Tasten richtet sich nach den Bedürfnissen des Anwenders. Sie haben direkten Zugriff auf alle Messfunktionen, dadurch können Sie schnell auf Ereignisse reagieren und Ihre Konzentration ganz auf die Beurteilung der beobachteten Tätigkeit richten. Texte können Sie bequem mit einem Stift auf dem Touchscreen mit integrierter Handschrifterkennung eingeben.

Sollten Studien ohne Vorbereitung starten, ist auch die integrierte Bildschirmtastatur nutzbar. Nutzen Sie die in Ihrem Tablet eingebaute Kamera und das Mikrofon um während der Zeitstudie Foto-, Video- und Audiodateien direkt dem Ablaufabschnitt oder der Studie zuzuordnen. Außerhalb der Messaufgaben nutzen Sie das Gerät als Tablet- PC mit voller Windows®-Funktionalität (ab Windows® 7).

ORTIM a6 für AndroidTM  wurde speziell für den Einsatz als Zeitstudiensoftware auf dem Android Tablet entwickelt. Die Applikation ist intuitiv bedienbar, die Anordnung der Tasten richtet sich nach den Bedürfnissen unserer Anwender. Sie haben direkten Zugriff auf alle Messfunktionen, damit sie auf Ereignisse schnell reagieren können.

Das Bedienkonzept erlaubt unseren Kunden damit, ihre Konzentration ganz auf die Beurteilung der beobachteten Tätigkeit zu richten. Sollten sie Studien ohne Vorbereitung starten, ist die integrierte Bildschirmtastatur für sie nutzbar.

Außerhalb der Messaufgaben ist das Gerät als Tablet mit Android-Funktionalität nutzbar. Die Systemvoraussetzung hierfür ist Android ab Version 5.0 (API21).

Die App als Zeitwirtschaftslösung

Im Gegensatz zu dem Komplettpaket ORTIM a5 (bestehend aus Hardware und Software), handelt es sich bei dem ORTIM b6 um eine Android-App, die Sie mit Ihren eigenen Android Tablets verwenden können.  Es wurde für Tablets ab 7 Zoll optimiert. Die Vorbereitung und Auswertung Ihrer Studien erfolgt in unserer bewährten Software ORTIMzeit. Selbstverständlich lässt sich ORTIM b6 auch harmonisch im Mix mit unseren anderen ORTIM-Zeitstudiengeräten einsetzen.

Die Herausforderung

Um Funktionen wie Terminierung, Kapazitätsplanung und Kalkulation sicherzustellen, müssen Zeitdaten immer aktuell gehalten werden. Das Standard-SAP-System deckt die in der Zeitwirtschaft benötigten Funktionen nur teilweise ab, deshalb wurde durch die dmc-ortim GmbH das Add-On CAPP Knowledge entwickelt. Es ist aktuell in den Sprachen Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch verfügbar.

Die Lösung

CAPP Knowledge ist das führende Planzeitsystem, das sich nahtlos in bestehende SAP-Umgebungen integriert. Es dient zur Erstellung, Verwaltung und Abfrage von Zeitdaten und verwendet anerkannte Methoden der Zeitwirtschaft, zum Beispiel das MTM- bzw. das REFA-Verfahren.

CAPP Knowledge ermöglicht

  • frei definierbare Hierarchiestufen sowie Zeitdaten jeder Herkunft zu erfassen – vom Arbeitsschritt bis hin zu komplexen Arbeitsvorgängen in Arbeitsplänen

ORTIMnotes, ist ein Werkzeug mit dem Arbeitsbereiche, Führungs- und Supportprozesse durch die Zeitwirtschaft bewertet werden können.  Es integriert, optimiert und erweitert bewährte Methoden der Organisationsuntersuchung.

Die Daten werden zu einem Bruchteil der bisherigen Kosten ermittelt, da Prozessbeteiligte selbst ihre Situation protokollieren. The tablet as time study hardware

ORTIM a6 for Windows® was developed specifically for use as time study software on your Windows® tablet. The application is intuitive to use, and the layout of the buttons can be customised to suit the user’s needs. You have direct access to all measurement functions, allowing you to react quickly to events and focus your attention entirely on evaluating the activity being observed. Text can be entered conveniently using a stylus on the touchscreen with integrated handwriting recognition. 

If studies start without preparation, the integrated on-screen keyboard can also be used. Use the camera and microphone built into your tablet to assign photo, video and audio files directly to the process section or study during the time study. Outside of measurement tasks, you can use the device as a tablet PC with full Windows® functionality (from Windows® 7). 

Freely configurable

ORTIM a6 for Windows® can be adapted to any type of time study and any evaluation rule. A virtually unlimited number of clocks allow you to record all types of time data for multi-site work: you can record cyclical and non-cyclical processes simultaneously. You can use selection criteria to mark measured values, e.g. to record batches and evaluate them separately. Standard time codes and the recording of influencing quantities enable you to generate standard time formulas from your time recording at a later stage. You can record texts for each measured value.

ORTIM a6 for AndroidTM  was developed specifically for use as time study software on Android tablets. The application is intuitive to use, and the layout of the buttons is based on the needs of our users. You have direct access to all measurement functions so that you can react quickly to events.

The operating concept allows our customers to focus entirely on evaluating the activity being observed. If you start studies without preparation, you can use the integrated on-screen keyboard. 

Outside of measurement tasks, the device can be used as a tablet with Android functionality. The system requirement for this is Android version 5.0 (API21) or higher.

Unlike the complete ORTIM a5 package (consisting of hardware and software), ORTIM b6 is an Android app that you can use with your own Android tablets. It has been optimised for 7 inches and larger tablets. Your studies are prepared and evaluated in our proven ORTIMzeit software. ORTIM b6 can of course also be used in combination with our other ORTIM time study devices.

In addition to evaluating individual studies, ORTIMzeit also offers summary evaluations of multiple time studies. The data source always remains identifiable via a source log. 

Available for all end devices

Studies from different recording devices in the ORTIM system are processed: classic devices from the a-series, ORTIM b6 mobile data collection for Android tablets and the c series based on Android or for Apple devices. These studies can also be exchanged in any direction via ORTIMzeit. 

Video files can also be used as the basis for time studies in the same software – the appropriate recording hardware can be freely selected for every application!

The challenge

To ensure functions such as scheduling, capacity planning and calculation, time data must always be kept up to date. The standard SAP system only partially covers the functions required in time management, which is why dmc-ortim GmbH developed the CAPP Knowledge add-on. It is currently available in German, English and French. 

The solution

The CAPP Knowledge is the leading planned time system that integrates seamlessly into existing SAP environments. It is used to create, manage and query time data and uses recognised time management methods, such as the MTM and REFA procedures. 

CAPP Knowledge enables 

  • freely definable hierarchy levels and time data from any source to be recorded – from work steps to complex work processes in work plans 
  • the determination and updating of standard times 
  • the creation and maintenance of time modules 
  • identify necessary optimisation requirements across all process steps 

During development, requirements such as automatic time calculation, transparency in time management, the assignment of time modules to work processes and a wide range of evaluation options were considered.

ORTIMplan – the modular link between modern time management and the system-supported planning world of ERP systems. 

ORTIMplan is used to create work schedules or edit imported schedules: 

Select, enter parameters – and you have detailed process documentation with exact time values. 

This leaves enough time for what really matters: creative process design. REFA time data, data from Excel or from other systems with predetermined times (MTM, WORK-FACTOR) can be used as a basis.

Multimoment surveys in the field of time management work on the same principle of random observations. A relatively small amount of effort guarantees a high degree of data accuracy. Observers independently and objectively record the situations they experience at that moment. Work processes are not disrupted and data is recorded quickly. 

Observe and record

Our employees provide you with optimal support in preparation and route planning. With this methodology, people, machines and materials can be observed in parallel at many workplaces (by an uninvolved person, therefore “externally recorded”). A brief introduction is all it takes to enable even untrained personnel to collect data. ORTIMnotes is a tool that can be used to evaluate work areas, management and support processes through time management. It integrates, optimises and expands proven methods of organisational analysis. 

The data is collected at a fraction of the previous cost, as those involved in the process record their own situation. This provides you with highly meaningful data and eliminates the need for additional personnel to collect it. As a result, the findings will be widely accepted by employees.  

To map the entire company process, effort data is determined and statistically documented. In addition to the estimates that have been common practice up to now, capacity data can also be calculated. 

Notes

Short notes can be quickly jotted down at any time, and notes taken on the go are forwarded to the stationary computer workstation. 

Potential

Potential can also be analysed in support processes. The results are not only available in qualitative form, but also in frequency statements and time values. Graphical representations also provide you with a quick overview and make it easy to identify areas for change. This allows you to maximise your reserves.
