Database tables

A second method of exchanging data with an ERP system is available for database tables.

In this regard, database tables serve as an interface for your own decision logic, which accesses the contents of the database tables and reads out parameters for decision-making processes, generating and updating route sheets.

During the import procedure, it is possible to fill the contents of a database table from a CSV file. During export, a CSV file is filled from the contents of a database table.

Import and export are available as tasks in the Task Scheduler of ORTIMplan.

Import

The import files provided in the import directory are moved accordingly into the set archive folder of the specified file mask (e.g. *.*), from where the files are imported into the database tables.

Export

During export, the entire contents of a database table are written to CSV file. The CSV file is stored in the export directory when the contents are complete. The ERP system can collect and process the file from this location.

File format

It is possible to set the file format separately for each database table. The file format includes the following:

•Field separator

•Text separator

•Decimal separator

•Number of headers

The settings are defined in the database settings.
