•Actian Zen v14 support

oThe successor product for the database system Actian PSQL used by ORTIMplan is available.

oThe new system is called Actian Zen.

oActian Zen is currently not shipped by dmc-ortim because there are no significant changes except for the rename.

oWhen you purchase Actian Zen yourself, your commitment is fully guaranteed.

oActian Zen and its settings are displayed by ORTIMplan in the system administration.

•Picture viewer

oA new picture viewer is available and replaces the old tool.

oThe picture viewer is capable of displaying multiple pictures.

oThe number of pictures and their file names are displayed in the title bar of the picture display.

oSwitching between the pictures is done via arrow keys, which appear in the picture when the display window is activated.

oThe new picture viewer can be opened in the navigators and in the search results via <Show pictures>.

oIn the Find and Replace window, the new setting <Auto open linked pictures> is available, which opens the picture viewer and selects an entry from the search result.

•Calculation module (so far Sales module)

oCost increases can also be shown relative to the previous year.

oReports for offer metrics are available.

▪Newly created and changed offers per period and location / plant are displayed in pie and bar charts.

▪The print function displays the details per period.

▪The data can be exported as a CSV file.

▪In user management, new rights are available for reports.

•User manager

oNew program functions for system administration are available.

•Task scheduler

oThe Task Scheduler can now send e-mail attachments.

oThe <Compress e-mail attachments> option packages the attachments to ZIP files before they are sent.

oA new task <license report> is available. This will generate a report containing the licenses used and available.

Improvements

•Calculation module

oDescriptions for offers and drafts can no longer be changed directly in the Navigator. The change must be made via normal processing.

oSystem settings: The setting <If condition is met> has been moved to the database settings. In the system settings, a link leads to the new settings page.

•Logic module

oThe menu item Rename is available in the Logic Navigator.

oMasks can now be renamed.

oThe functionality of Change is now restricted to 2-D tables.

•Navigator

oThe menus have been revised and better structured by submenus.

▪Some menu items have been moved to the <Tools> menu.

▪The display of linked pictures has been improved. The menu item <Show pictures> is now available in every menu.

▪All other connections have been moved to the <Connections> submenu.

•The previously used menu item <Connections> has been replaced by <Edit connections>.

•A new menu item <Show connections> opens the <Connections> tab, in which all connections are displayed.

•Improved search when connecting workstation and material

oThe search now also searches for the workstation and material code.

oThe correct text color is now used for inactive standard time formulas and 2-D tables.

oThe sorting of tree / structure elements has been extended.

▪Sorting can now be differentiated for name, code and modification date in ascending and descending order.

▪An undo function is available.

oStock protection: Attaching and removing documents is no longer possible if the stock protection status is set.

•SCO import from ORTIMzeit

oThe SCO list is now sorted alphabetically by name. The sorting can be changed via the column header.

oA search field above the SCO list can be used to search for SCOs; the list then represents the search result.

•ERP interface

oSystem Settings: The setting <Import folder/work plan under> has been moved to the database settings. In the system settings, a link leads to the new settings page.

oERP import

▪Automatic ERP import

•The task log now displays the important network setting for automatic intermediate levels in work plan and resource trees. If the set value is too high, this can greatly increase the runtime of the import.

▪Manual ERP import

•The <Files> tab now has a search box that can be searched for file properties; the list then represents the search result.

•Workstation and user settings

oThe default values for the graphic colors have been changed to muted colors.

•System settings

oThe default time classification for category Machine has been changed from BELEGUNG to ABL-BEMI.

•System diagnosis

oDatabases in subdirectories of the set database directory are now being examined.

•Data backup

oThe new reporting database is saved with.

oThe planning database for offers will only be saved if it differs from the main planning database.

•Installer

oThe overview page now shows the installed PSQL version.

oORTIMplan service installer

▪The installer now uses the nssm.exe software instead of the srvany.exe software.

▪Ending the service no longer leads to a hard program termination (kill).

▪ORTIMplan will exit properly. The user is logged off and the used license is released.

Changes

•All hotfixes that were provided for older versions are integrated in version 8.5.

•OpenSSL libraries version 1.1.1d: libssl-1_1.dll, libcrypto-1_1.dll.

•Hardlock device driver version 7.102: haspdinst.exe.
