Windows 11

•New design specifications are supported: colors have been changed, superfluous dividing lines have been removed.

•The texts in the information field of the settings pages are no longer indented.

•The main tabs are slightly enlarged.

•The menu bar can be switched off. The menus are offered in the hamburger menu on the left in the toolbar.

•Important functions for which there is not enough space in the toolbar are available in the overhang menu (...) on the right-hand side of the toolbar.

•The file menu is only available if file-related functions are available. Example: Import and Export.

•Duplicate function calls are removed. Example <Menu and toolbar settings>: the function is no longer available in the menu.

•All libraries are digitally signed to comply with Windows 11 22H2 SAC (Smart App Control) standards.

Actian Zen v15

•Actian Zen v15 is available.

•Actian Zen v15 SP2 is currently shipped by dmc-ortim.

•When you purchase Actian Zen yourself, your commitment is fully guaranteed.

•Actian Zen and its settings are displayed by ORTIMplan in the system administration.

•The ReFS file system used on Windows Server versions is fully supported by the Actian Zen v15 database.

•Navigator

oUser fields: only the user fields of the selected time blocks of the same type are displayed.

oColumns

▪The columns menu has been moved from the extras menu to the overhang menu (...).

▪A new column EM exists (Influencing Quantities exists) is available. A check box indicates whether all influence quantities are assigned or not. A cross indicates that there are no influence factors.

oEnter influencing quantities

▪A search field is available. The search searches all data displayed in the list. If there is a hit, the corresponding line is selected.

▪The Auto-Wrap option for the description field has been moved to the ... menu.

•Workstations

oThe menus and toolbar have been revised.

oPersons and machines can now be connected to workstations.

•Line balancing

oPersons and materials that are linked to the working processes via workstations are now displayed in a list below the balancing view.

oWorkstations linked to working processes are now displayed in a list below the balancing view.

oThe machine time is now displayed in the list.

oThe settings now show where the settings are saved: in the workstation or user settings or on the work plan.

Calculation module

•Manual working process items now have a setup time.

•The display name of the calculation model is now used in the calculation model selection list. The display names can be assigned in the system settings.

•Planning in connection with cost increases has been expanded. Cost increases can now be allocated in more detail.

•Many print forms were then revised.

Standard times module

•The properties of a standard times formulas are better displayed in the list.

oThe values of the properties Cyclic, Manual and Active, which were previously displayed with Yes and No, are now represented by check boxes (checked or not checked).

oThe usable property is now also offered. Formulas that are declared in this way when importing data from ORTIMzeit are marked as unusable.

oThe menus are changed. The tools menu has been removed. The entries are now available in the overhang menu (...).

Logic module

•The runtime system for decision tables now recognizes loops and automatically uses them instead of recursive calls.

User management

•Three new variables are available: %ORTIMUSERNAME%, %ORTIMGROUPNAME% and %ORTIMMAINGROUPNAME%. The variables contain the name of the logged in user, his group and his main group. The variables can e.g. be used in directories.

•Group settings, directories: Three directories %USER1%, %USER2%, %USER3% are available for the users of a group.

•LDAP - accept user from Windows domain

oServer-side sorting is no longer used because not all LDAP servers support this feature.

oThe login window shows whether you are logging on to a domain.

oThe user administration shows whether an LDAP connection to a domain is active.

•New program functions are available and replace the previous administrator queries. The rights can thus be assigned to each user.

Task scheduler

•A search field is now available when creating a task. You can use this to search for the name and description of a task. Hits are marked in the task list.

System administration

•The automatic update is switched off after opening and can be switched on via the overhang menu (...) if necessary. An update can now also be triggered manually.

Settings

•In the system settings for the calculation, display names can now be assigned for the sometimes cryptic model names (file names) on the calculation models page.

System

•If no license was installed when ORTIMplan was installed, this can now be done when the program is started for the first time.

•The main window has been renamed from Functions to Start.

•Favorites have been renamed to Bookmarks.

•In the local menu of the tab bar, the open tabs are displayed with their full title.

Updates

•All hotfixes that were provided for older versions are integrated in version 8.9.

•The OpenSSL libraries have been updated to version 3.1.4: libssl-3.dll, libcrypto-3.dll.

•7-Zip has been updated to version 23.1: 7z.exe, 7z.dll.
